A cloudy start to Monday morning for most, with some sunny spells across Scotland, with some breaks in cloud in the south. One or two isolated showers in northern Wales. A few spots of rain across East Anglia in the afternoon. Brightening up in northern England, but staying cloudy in the south. Feeling mild, with temperature highs of 19C in the south, and 20C in the north.

Monday Night
Generally dry, with showers in northern Scotland, and across western Ireland, spreading further east later on. One or two patchy showers along the western coast of Wales, and across northern and central England, but otherwise staying dry. Temperature lows of 11C in the south, and 6C in the north.

Tuesday
Increasingly unsettled on Tuesday, especially across the north and west as fronts develop and move east. These bring heavy periods of showery rain over much of Ireland and northern England as well as Wales and western England in the morning. Rain too in southern and eastern Scotland at first, but becoming brighter here with some showers in the north and west. The rain clears eastern England by late afternoon and early evening. Mostly cloudy in southern England with a scattering of showers. Brighter in all but southern England by evening. A risk of ground frost in sheltered areas overnight. Windy for northern England and Scotland, and feeling cold in the wind. Highs of 19C in the south, and 9C in the north.

Wednesday
Low pressure to the north of Scotland brings a showery day to many northern and western areas. The showers heavy at times in northern and western Scotland, a risk of some sleet over the tops of the Highlands. Showers too in northwest England and northern parts of Ireland. Brighter and mostly dry in the rest of England, Wales, southern Ireland and eastern Scotland although a passing shower cannot be ruled out. Best of the sunshine in southern England. Feeling cool, with highs of 11 to 16C.
