Cold in much of Europe with some rain sleet and snow in the west


Thursday
Fair in Portugal and southern parts of Spain, but some showery rain to the north and east. Heavy showers in the balearics with a mic of sunshine and showers in Italy too. Greece should be dry with sunny spells and there will be a few showers in Turkey.
Cold and bright in France with morning cloud breaking. Staying cold across the Low Countries and Germany with some bright or sunny spells here. Snow in southern Poland but fair to the north. Some snow for Hungary but Austria and Switzerland should be drier, although just a few snow showers.
Denmark will have sunny spells and dry weather. Cold in the Baltic States but dry here. Dry and cold too in Finland with variable cloud. Sweden should be dry with some sunny spells breaking through, whilst snow affects western Norway.


Friday
Rain again troubling northern Spain today with snow over hills. Portugal and the central and southern parts of Spain will be dry with sunny spells, although some showers in the far south of Spain. Sunny spells and isolated showers in the Balearics. Some showers in Italy too, although these wil be well scattered. Greece should be fair wit sunny spells and it should stay fair with more sunshine through Turkey too.
Some rain and sleet in France with a risk of snow in places. Rain, sleet and snow in the Low Countries as well as western Germany. Eastern parts of Germany will be dry with sunny spells, whilst rain and dry weather affecting Poland, although snow in the far east. Hungary will be dry with sunny periods with cloudier skies and a few snow flurries in Austria nd Switzerland.
Rain and sleet in western Norway. fair for much of Denmark with sunny spells. A cold day in the Baltic States and Finland although mostly dry. Cold too for Sweden although it should also be dry here.
