Rain and strong winds developing for France

Friday
Rain affects Portugal, mainly in the north, whilst southern areas should be drier but rather cloudy. Much of Spain will be dry, 20 to 25C, warmest south & east. Possible thundery showers for the islands of the western Mediterranean. Italy should be dry and warm. Very warm for south-eastern Europe, including Greece and Turkey, around 25C with plenty of sunshine.
High pressure centred over the northern Baltic brings settled weather to eastern Europe. Dry and bright for Finland and northern Sweden. Murky for southern Scandinavia, with brisk south-easterly winds. Fronts draped across western Norway, Denmark and northern Germany bring outbreaks of rain. Some rain too for the Netherlands. Fairly cloudy across France and the western Alps.

Saturday
Low pressure centred over the British Isles brings strong winds to north-western Europe, gales around the English Channel. A cold front sweeps south-east across France, bringing some heavy rain for a time, followed by showers in the north-west. Rain spreads east to Germany and Denmark. A zone of cloud and patchy rain passes south across Iberia, but southern Spain and Portugal should stay dry and warm. Dry and sunny for Italy, but thundery showers may affect Sicily. Dry and warm for south-eastern Europe with light winds. Chance of local fog patches. Drizzly rain for Poland and the Baltic states. Rain for southern Norway, with brisk southerly winds. Dry and bright for northern Scandinavia.
