Slow-moving heavy showers are expected to develop, especially across central and western parts of Northern Ireland, through the late morning and into the afternoon. In some areas 20-30 mm could fall in just an hour or two, with the wettest spots perhaps seeing as much as 50-60 mm. Hail and lightning may be secondary hazards in places. Showers and storms should ease into the evening. What should I do? Consider if your location is at risk of flash flooding. If so, consider preparing a flood plan and an emergency flood kit. Prepare to protect your property and people from injury. Before gusty winds arrive, check to ensure moveable objects or temporary structures are well secured.
